Having a plan going into a divorce, makes for a better outcome
Temporary OrdersAs you begin your divorce planning, you should think about getting the Court to issue Temporary Orders for Child Custody and Support. Unless you and your soon to be ex-spouse have agreed on these issues up-front, they will be the first items the Court will need to deal with.

Emergency HearingsWhile it may feel like an emergency to you, the Court probably won't view it that way unless you or the children are in actual danger of permanent harm. The Courts recognize that divorce is a very emotional time and prefers that both parties are present for every hearing so everyone can be heard from.

Preliminary InjunctionOnce the divorce is filed and served on the opposing party, a Permanent Injunction is issued by the Court. This injunction applies to both parties and prevents either party from making material changes to insurance, bank accounts, investment accounts, real estate and other marital assets without the consent of the other party.
