Bernard M. StrassBorn in Michigan, Bernard came to Arizona in 1959 with his parents and sister. He has seen Arizona grow from an agricultural and mining state to its current status as a leader in growth and opportunity. An Arizona State University graduate in Secondary Education and History, he was first a teacher, before becoming an attorney. In the years since, his clients have often commented that he didn't seem like a lawyer and he always responded, "I'm just a teacher trapped in a lawyer's body." A diligent worker, he fought for his clients regardless of personal sacrifice, just like a teacher does for his students.

History of the Law Office of Bernard Strass, PLC |
After practicing in Omaha, Nebraska for two years, Bernie returned to Phoenix to open a practice of his own. Through a network of family, friends, business associates and a lot of hard work, Bernie built a civil litigation law practice representing national and international corporations, medium-sized state and regional businesses and small businesses located in the Phoenix area. Reviewing and writing contracts, protecting his client's right through litigation, establishing new companies and taking failed ones through bankruptcy, he has seen all aspects of business over 35 years. Now, he has shifted his practice area and moved on to Family Law, where he intends to put forth the same effort to assist his clients in divorce, child support and spousal maintenance matters.
